Toschi, Sidran, Collins & Doyle

We are very experienced, well-organized, and effective trial attorneys. We bring the depth of experience of more than 200 civil trials taken to verdict. TSCD handles all areas of civil litigation. We have particular expertise in anti-fraud litigation, personal injury defense, auto dealership defense, employer defense, and real estate litigation. We approach cases from our client's perspective. We use our wits to develop evidence to defend our clients and to arrive at the truth. The number of cases taken to trial, and typically won, by our firm vastly exceeds those of other firms. Our clients benefit by not paying the plaintiff for something they do not owe. We have expertise in handling cases involving all levels of exposure, theories of liability and types of damages. In the areas of bodily injury, our experience encompasses the entire spectrum of claims from wrongful death, burns, paralysis and alleged brain injuries, to the suspicious low impact automobile collision.

Our Jury Trial Results

Being sued is quite unpleasant, and, to make matters worse, most claims being brought by plaintiffs are either entirely false or greatly exaggerated. Fortunately for our clients, we are able to get the truth before the jury, and therefore we win the vast majority of cases that go to court. We are not afraid of juries, we embrace them. That is why we have successfully tried cases throughout California, including the following Counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Los Angeles, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Trinity and Tulare, and in Nevada: Clark, Douglas and Washoe Counties. We have also tried cases in the US District Court for the Northern District of California and the US District Court for the District of Nevada

Regarding the Problem of Insurance Fraud

The submission of false and exaggerated claims is unfortunately a growing problem for California citizens. According to the California Legislature, "Fraudulent activity accounts for 15 to 20 percent of all auto insurance payments. Automobile insurance fraud is the biggest and fastest growing segment of insurance fraud and contributes substantially to the high cost of automobile insurance. Health insurance fraudulent activities account for billions of dollars annually in added healthcare costs nationally." (California Insurance Code Section 1871.) Clients facing a continuous stream of unmeritorious claims turn to Toschi, Sidran, Collins & Doyle for guidance to implement defense strategies to stop the conduct and to recoup their losses. Typically the first victim of healthcare fraud is the patient. Patients are mislead about the state of their health so that useless medical procedures can be performed on them. Multiple false claims submissions can be daunting. We assist clients to identify and resist false claims while ensuring the clients comply with all applicable regulations.
